The Christmas Connection is hoping donations will pick up as more folks start doing their own holiday shopping.
A Tallahassee family, a mother and two children, is one of more than 800 families counting on it this year.
The mother desperately needs four new tires for her truck so she can continue to get safely to and from work as a waitress. She can pay her bills, but there's little left to buy her children clothes or Christmas presents.
Her son would like a remote control truck and her daughter wants a leap frog system.
A Wal-Mart gift card would allow the family to stock up on clothes, food and toiletries too. This is case #56.
The Christmas Connection is open weekdays 12 to 6 p.m., Saturdays 9 to 5 at 1000 West Tharpe Street in Tallahassee.
