Tornado Blows Through Church Cemetery

The pure force of the tornado was strong enough to split trees and even lift gravestones.

At the Ivan Church Cemetery, several graves were disturbed, knocked over by tree branches and other debris.

At least two dozen graves occupy the space behind the Assembly of God Church, many of which date back to world war two.

For one family, the sight was emotional.

Annie Barrow, visiting a parent's grave, said, “It's scary really. It kind of hurts when it hits home like that.”

Most of the headstones survived the tornado, and the others are being put back in place.
