Members of law enforcement were out in full force as a weekend of graduations got underway.
The Florida Highway Patrol and the FSU Police Department both conducted DUI checkpoints Friday night as graduation ceremonies at FAMU and FSU kicked off.
The checkpoints have an enforcement as well as an education focus. The goal is to see students celebrate the weekend safely.
"Of course, this is going to be a big weekend with studying ending now and partying starting to begin. So we want to be out there and do all we can to keep people safe on the roads," says FSU Police MAJ Tom Longo.
Already, FSU's Police Department has made more than 100 DUI arrests for the year.
