An execution date has been set for convicted killer Amos King.

Wednesday, Gov. Jeb Bush lifted the stay he granted King in early December to allow for DNA testing. The 48-year-old was convicted of raping and murdering 68-year-old Natalie Brady in her Tarpon Springs home in 1977.

The governor's office says the DNA tests sought by King's lawyers, “failed to provide any new evidence.” King was scheduled for execution three times last year but won reprieves. His execution has been scheduled for Feb. 26.
