The Grinch who stole a Tallahassee family's Christmas is under arrest Wednesday night, and the family's gifts are returned.
Police arrested Tommy Washington in connection with a weekend house burglary.
The victim told police when she and her children returned from out of town to their McCaskill Drive home in Tallahassee, all of the Christmas presents were gone.
Community tips led police to the goods.
SGT Mark Meadows with the Tallahassee Police Department says, "He's confessed to the crime, saying he did go inside and steal that stuff. It's kind of the ultimate re-gifting. He says he stole it to give it away to his relatives to have gifts for them."
A computer, DVDs and some food were also stolen. Washington is being held in the Leon County Jail.
