Changes at the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicle Safety

WCTV was first to tell you, a couple of weeks ago, about a controversial Georgia law requiring residents to have a social security number if they want to apply for a driver’s license. The law was designed to track deadbeat parents. Instead, some foreigners said it was denying them the right to drive. The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that come Feb. 17, Georgia will begin issuing driver's licenses to the dependents of Visa holders who present proper documentation.
