The shopping and gift return madness got off to a slow start in the Azalea City Monday.
Widely considered as South Georgia’s retail center, stores in Valdosta were only moderately busy before lunch. Customers enjoyed uncrowded malls, and plenty of merchandise was still on the racks.
Several shoppers told us they were surprised at how smooth their day at the stores had started. Other Valdosta shoppers think the stores will start to fill later in the week when people are more willing to get out and return or exchange their gifts.
