After more than a week on the run, a man wanted by Valdosta police has been captured and is now behind bars.
Twenty-seven-year-old Bruce Hallman was captured Monday. He escaped police custody back on December 17, while being treated at South Georgia Medical Center.
Valdosta police are now reviewing the incident to prevent it from happening once again.
LT Bernard Robinson, Valdosta police spokesperson, says, "At this time, an internal affairs investigation is ongoing to determine exactly what happened, why it happened. Changes will be made if need be. We'll determine that at the end of the investigation."
Investigators say Hallman will face multiple charges, including escaping police custody, counterfeiting and obstruction of justice.
More charges could be filed pending the results of an investigation.
