Severe Weather Damages Homes in Grady County

Pieces of what once was a carport lay 500 yards away in a muddy field. And bricks that once adorn the chimney are now missing, leaving a large gaping hole.

The destruction that took place in the Francis home was no match to what the family endured when the storm hit. The severe storm lasted about five minutes, but damage to several houses, carports, and irrigation system were significant

The home suffered the most damage. The family says it won’t be staying home now. They'll be spending a few nights at the Best Western.

As of right now, the storm is not a confirmed tornado. Our meteorologists are calling it severe wind weather, and they will know later this week whether or not it was an actual tornado.
