Postal rates are taking a five percent hike. A one ounce first-class letter bumps up from 37 to 39 cents.
Postcards go up a penny to 24 cents, and priority mail moves up 20 cents to $4.05.
For some Tallahassee postal patrons, it's a reminder of the good ol' days.
John Hatch, a Post Office customer, says, "I definitely remember three cents, whether it was below two or one, I don't know, but I definitely remember three cent stamps."
The changes mark the first price increase in postal mail since June 2002.
