It takes dedication, sweat, tears and a deep love for children to be the Leon County Teacher of the Year.
And this year, that person is Pat Brock, a kindergarten teacher at Springwood Elementary.
Her peers say she is the epitome of what every teacher should be. Mrs. Brock has been a teacher for 18 years and says she couldn't imagine doing anything else.
There are thousands of teachers in Leon County, so Mrs. Brock says this award is more than she ever expected.
