Lowndes County, GA -The Lead Investigator with the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office said "we did locate a trafficking amount of cocaine, methamphetamine. We also located some marijuana, a firearm that was in possession of a convicted felon at the time of a crime."

Sheriff's deputies say multiple ounces of each drug were taken from this house at eleven fourteen dellwood drive around 9AM. The Sheriff's office says the drugs belonged to thirty five year old Machari Nelson who was found in the home when deputies went in.

Jamie Sherwood lives next door. She said "I started hearing people shout police! police! and so we all come out and are standing in the garage and we look out and there's at least ten cop cars lining the streets."

Nelson was arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail. Deputies say they expect to make more arrests in connection with the raid. They also say there were five kids that lived in the house although only one present during the raid.

Bud Davis works for Peavy Properties. He said "I was kind of surprised. I had met the people before, the homeowners, they seemed real quite, real nice people. You know, you never know."

Sherwood went on to say "I never would have expected anything like that. Especially in this neighborhood."

Deputies say they were first tipped off about the house in mid July.
