Tallahassee Carjacking

Tallahassee police say two people were approached by an armed gunman at the Town South shopping center on Monroe Street.

Police say the gunman demanded the two get out of their car, then drove off with the vehicle.

Around 1 a.m. officers spotted the stolen vehicle and attempted to pull it over. The suspect tried to get away, but ended up crashing the car.

LT Glenn Sapp with the Tallahassee Police Department said, "We had a short foot pursuit, three suspects were taken into custody. An adult male and two juvenile females, all three have been taken into custody.

TPD says Lewis Sutton was arrested. He is facing charges of car jacking, felony fleeing, resisting, and hit and run. Police are still investigating the first robbery and do not know if the two crimes are linked.
