TCC African-American History Calendar

Over the past six years it's become a hot commodity. We're talking about TCC's Black History Month Calendar.

Thursday the community college released the names of the individuals featured in the 2006 calendar. TCC says last year their stock of 25,000 was gone within one week.

Coordinators say the inspiring stories of the honorees tend to grab everyone's attention.

Alexander says, "The Governor's Mansion even requests copies of the calendar to give out during the month of February when they have young people from all over the state come to Tallahassee to the Governor's Mansion for a black history program.”

As part of TCC's 40th anniversary celebration this year's honorees had to be TCC alumni.

If you'd like to get your hands on a free calendar, the official unveiling is Monday, January 23 at 7 p.m. in TCC's Turner Auditorium. For more information, call (850) 201-8396.
