They caught themselves on camera and then were caught by sheriff's officers.
The Leon County Sheriff's Office arrested three teenagers and a young man in connection with two burglaries.
Deputies say three of those teens broke into several vehicles at two southside businesses last month. They say during the ordeal, the suspects videotaped themselves with a camera, then left the camera and tape behind.
The owner of Dial Communications handed over the tape to authorities which led them right to their suspects.
"They talked, they interviewed each other on the camera and just basically took pictures of themselves for prosperity purposes, but left the camera on scene," said SGT Chris Chase with the Leon County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say during one of the break-ins, the suspects took a laptop computer and sold it to 22-year-old Jerad Anderson. Anderson was also arrested and faces charges of dealing in stolen property.
