Authorities say 35 year old Bainbridge Public Safety Captain Pat Thomas was arrested at his Decatur County residence around 11 pm Friday night.
The Seminole County Sheriff says Thomas was arrested after threatening to kill Kim Odom while pressing a pistol into her back and other parts of her body.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation along with the Decatur County Sheriff's office assisted the Seminole County Sheriff's office in the arrest. But authorities say Thomas was compliant and did not resist arrest.
Officials say the alleged attack took place in Seminole County between 5pm and 6pm on Friday afternoon.
Thomas has been in law enforcement for more than ten years.
He is now being charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Thomas spent the weekend behind bars in the Seminole County jail and was released on bond Monday afternoon.
