The first ever Tallahassee Film Festival was a big hit and it's here to stay...at least for now.
The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation recently awarded a 60 thousand dollar grant to the Tallahassee Film Festival.
The money will go towards start-up funding for the first two years of the event.
In May, the three-day festival kicked off and it attracted more than 65 film screenings, competitions, and lectures.
The festival was part of an effort to bring more tourists and jobs to the capital city.
