FSU Dance Marathon

Starting at 10 Saturday morning students hit the dance floor to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. It's all part of Florida State University's annual dance marathon.

More than 700 students are out dancing and pledge to remain on their feet for 32 hours. Each student has raised more than $250 for the event.

FSU has taken part in dance marathon every year since 1996.

Whittney Laws, an organizer with dance marathon, says, "It's for the Children's Miracle Network and it all goes to Shands Children's Hospital and the Florida State College of Medicine, just raising money for the local children of the Tallahassee community."

This year's slogan is "Give a Weekend, Save a Life." Over 80 schools across the nation participate in dance marathon every year.
