The Department of Environmental Protection gave the thumbs up for the City of Tallahassee to continue operations at the Southeast Spray Field.
The department issued a notice of intent Monday afternoon, renewing a five year permit.
That also means scientific studies on the field can continue that will determine its impact on the environment. Also included in the permit is the city's commitment to remove the cows and eliminate the use of fertilizer by June.
Some think the two are contributors to pollution in the Wakulla Springs.
