Fatal Car Accident

Bad Weather is to blame for two car accidents in our area, including a fatal one.
The first accident happened around 8:30 this morning at the 26 hundred block of West Pensacola Street in Tallahassee. Police say a man driving a GMC truck was heading east on Pensacola when he lost control of his truck slammig into a parked Oldsmobile. Officials say the driver was ejected from his truck and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are not releasing the vicitms name, until the next of kin can be notified.
Wet roads are also to blame for an accident on Tharpe and Trimble Road. Authorities say 22-year-old Sandy Bell and her brother were driving on Trimble Road when the car spun out of control. The vehicle flipped over on it's side. Bell suffered minor injuries.
Frie officials say lightening strikes led to several fires in our area. Residents of Bayhead Trailer Park and those living along White Hill Lane woke up to several fires burning after lightening struck a transformer.
Mother Nature's down pour also brought down several power lines in the area.
