The Children's Advocacy Center of Lowndes County, Georgia held it's largest fundraiser of the year. The 4th Annual Sporting Clay Shoot contest brought out dozens to test their skills for a good cause. Participants paid $100 a piece to see who was the best shot.
All the proceeds to help care for area kids next year. Despite all the rain, organizers say today's event was a success and will really make a difference in the life of a child. " We usually raise about $20,000 here and it benefits the Children's Advocacy Center," said Laurie Bajalia, Director of the Children's Advocacy Center. " This event is our largest source of unrestricted funding."
Last year the center helped out some 140 kids.
