Wednesday night there was a standoff between Thomas County authorities and a man threatening to jump from a highway overpass.
It ended peacefully but caused lengthy traffic detours and delays. Thomas County sheriff's investigators say it all started in the afternoon as a domestic dispute between the man and his wife.
Crisis experts from the Sheriff's Office say they were able to talk the man down from the Highway 84 overpass on U.S. 19. They say he was taken to Archbold Hospital for evaluation.
Drivers on Highway 84 and U.S. 19 were detoured around the overpass during the standoff.
