Tallahassee FL- One vacant building and one sign has one business owner asking the public for their feedback.
Thousands pass by this abandoned building along Tennessee Street every day without thinking twice, but that's since changed.
Right on the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Tennessee Street where an abandoned building adorned with a sign saying "Finish this block", has everybody talking.
One passerby said, "We need a coffee shop here." Another explained, "You know they need an arcade down here.I would love to see an arcade down here." Where one other passerby said, "That's a nice big building they should put homeless people in there."
All ideas the new property owners-- who also own the Four Points Hotel, are reviewing as part of their 'Finish the Block' campaign.
General Manager for Four Points by Sheraton Bo Schmitz explained, "We want the community's feed back, it's a chance for everyone to imagine a better Tallahassee and continue the energy and the motivation of redeveloping this entire area."
"I think it is unique and I think it's a great idea maybe other people can follow it. A lot of times, they end up putting something there that everybody just raises their eyebrows and asks 'well what were they thinking?'. These guys get that and that's great," said Tallahassee Resident, David Guest .
Although not everyone has an opinion, everyone is allowed to voice it. You have until November twenty second to place your opinion on the "Finish the Block" campaign.
