Former Valdosta City Councilman Bunnis Williams has pleaded guilty to three charges of voter fraud in 2001 in connection with an unsuccessful re-election bid for a fifth term.

District Attorney David Miller said Monday that Williams admitted illegal handling of an absentee ballot, a misdemeanor, and solicitation of false statements and illegal possession of an absentee ballot, both felonies.

At his sentencing March 16, Williams could receive up to six months in jail with a $1,000 fine for the misdemeanor and up to 13 years and a $110,000 fine for the two felony counts.
