Looking for a new hobby? It seems more and more people are turning to scrapbooking to fill their free time.
According to an article by "Drug Store News," an estimated one in five households takes part in the hobby, which is nearly double from 2002.
Scrapbook store owners say it's a passionate pastime for many, especially for those who love to socialize.
Glazer says, "Generally women come in shopping in pairs and packs, and you can spend several hours looking for paper, stickers and embellishments and not spend a ton of money, but you can spend a lot of time and have a lot of fun doing it."
Glazer says she saw a surge in interest following 9/11 with people wanting to preserve family memories. She also says you don't have to be creative, but admits it doesn't hurt.
