It happened around 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at a home off Totem Trail.
Leon County sheriff's investigators say Gary Wayman, Jr. was fighting with his ex girlfriend when threw his three-month-old daughter into his SUV and drove off.
Deputies later found him at his mother's house a few miles away and placed him under arrest.
SGT Chris Chase with the Leon County Sheriff's Office says, "It’s really an unfortunate situation because now we have a parent that's going to be going to jail and charged with numerous charges, but we also have a victim mother and a child that have been traumatized by this incident."
Investigators say the infant was not hurt. Wayman, Jr. does not legally have custody of the child.
