Congressman Allen Boyd held a town hall meeting at Kate Sullivan Elementary School Wednesday evening, his presentation focusing on government spending and a need for fiscal accountability.
Those in attendance also took the opportunity to voice their concerns from Social Security to Medicare.
"It’s really a good vehicle for me to use, to dialogue with our constituents, understand what they're thinking, how they feel about certain issues, then we take that back to Washington and see how we can use it,” says Boyd.
"It's very good and we need more people to come and view these issues with the congressmen; we should support our congressmen and senators,” says Tallahassee resident Lura Wolford.
Boyd's stop in Tallahassee is part of a north Florida tour. The 1967 Florida State University graduate will speak in Panama City Thursday.
