It's becoming quite the craze in the fitness world, the focus on mind, body and spirit.
Wellness and fitness specialist Mary Barley says many people are realizing the value of this trio with some studies showing optimal health can only be achieved if you address emotional and spiritual health as well as physical.
Barley says, "And now they know that unmanaged stress and depression costs two to seven times more in health care costs than obesity, smoking and look of physical activity which is huge."
Barley says yoga and Pilates are great stress relievers, but adds cardio and weight training can be soothing as long as you use relaxing breathing techniques.
