Hilton's defense lawyer filed a motion seeking a gag order in the case.

That would keep attorneys, law enforcement, witnesses and others in the case from talking to the media.

The Assistant Public Defender who is representing Hilton also requested that all pre-trial evidence be sealed from public access.

A hearing on this motion has not yet been scheduled.

Typically, attorneys file these types of motions to make it easier to pick an unbiased jury.

Hilton was indicted by a Leon County grand jury in February on charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping and grand theft in the slaying of Cheryl Dunlap.

8 years before Meredith Emerson, there was another body found very close to where Miss Emerson was abducted. This body was minus the skull. At the time, authorities thought someone had died camping during the winter, and that animals had made away with the head. I thought it was strangly coincendental that two people should face such violence in a small rural mountain town, where everyone knows each other, and violent acts a minimal factor. I don't believe anyone has even considered looking into this case.

Easy Debbie.......Leave the lawyer out of this. Public Defenders have no choice. Their job is to represent people who can't afford lawyers.....Our constitution gives everyone a right to counsel under the 6th amendment..........You are an ignorant lady by some of the comments you just made.......
