Florida A&M University paused Tuesday to honor fellow Rattlers who have been deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The prayer vigil was established after an employee realized over 30 students had withdrawn from class to fulfill their duty.
Financial Aid Coordinator, Cornelius Ann Floyd, receives notices when students withdraw from classes. Floyd kept seeing the same reason, military. She felt it was her duty to organize a prayer for peace and safe return vigil.
Many of the students have personal connections to fellow Rattlers who have been deployed.
