A security alert at the airport caused curbside check-in to be closed and a flight leaving Tallahassee to be delayed for about an hour Thursday morning.
The Tallahassee airport was responding to a suspicious note found in a seat pocket on an airplane.
Several local law enforcement agencies' bomb units were called in for inspections. Airport operations continued as usual once officials determined there was not a clear public safety threat.
The shutdown lasted from 6:45 a.m. To 8:45 a.m. It put an Air Tran flight an hour behind schedule and caused a Delta flight to take off about five minutes late.
