Flood Conditions Continue in Thomas County

Flood

The rains have picked up again for the peach state. Throughout the day Georgia’s emergency agency has been keeping a close yet on the amounts of rainfall and any flooding the rains may have caused.

Flood warnings continue for the Ocklocknee River and its tributaries throughout Thomas County. GEMA officials say minor flooding can be seen across the country and is expected to continue throughout Thursday night.

GEMA says they will assess the water levels around the Ocklocknee late Thursday evening and if they feel levels are in fact substantially higher, they are prepared to go to those flood prone areas to help out where help is needed.
