There are 6 days and counting in the United Way campaign and the big bend chapter has yet to reach its goal. It’s about $250,000 short.
So far the United Way has raised $5.5 million of the $5.8 million it needs.
In the Southeast, donations are down 5.2% this year, but the big bend is hoping to buck that trend and the sheriff is urging folks to (in his words) “get off their duff and call in a pledge.”
Sheriff Campbell is this year’s United Way campaign chairman.
