There's a little March Madness going on at Godby High.
Wednesday teachers and alums suited up to face off with students on the hardwood, and all tickets sold raise money for the American Cancer Society.
Principal Pridgeon started the "oldies but goodies" game off with a three pointer, but the current Cougar players surged back leading for the most of the game.
While the "oldies" saddled up to the Gatorade cooler for a while, in the end they pulled off a seven point victory.
Darius Jones, a guidance counselor, says, "All week long they teased us about playing against us, but we won this time. They didn't get the opportunity to beat us this time, so it feels good. This is our second year doing this and we're one and one, so next year we'll see who will break the tie."
And if the roundball wasn't excitement enough, cheerleaders brought the crowd to its feet with the teachers shaking their money makers. All this nonsense raised $2,500 for the upcoming Relay for Life.
