A veteran pilot is grateful to be alive after making a crash landing at the Quincy-Gadsden airport.
Around 1:15 p.m. Friday afternoon a pilot made an error in assuming the airplane runway was longer than usual and failed to let down his landing gear.
The pilot says he didn’t realize the runway at the Quincy airport was a short runway. No one on board was injured and witnesses say they were nervous for the pilot.
The Quincy Police Department was on hand to investigate the crash. FAA will also be investigating the crash. FAA will also be investigating the crash.
