Dozens of people with disabilities as well as business owners rallied at the Capitol Wednesday to draw attention to the need for more companies to step up as part of Disabilities Awareness Day.

K.C. McWilliams says, “What’s so amazing about it is they’re on time, they’re excited, they’re like sponges. They learn, they grow. It is not only mutually beneficial, but it is a smart business decision."
Although Florida’s unemployment rate is only three percent, the unemployment rate for people with disabilities is 65 percent nationwide.
More than 2.2 million Floridians have a disability.
