A federal court case is in recess until Monday as a Delray Beach family sues Jefferson County deputies for millions of dollars.
Former Jefferson County Sheriff Ken Fortune took the stand Thursday, though a judge has already absolved him of blame in the case.
Five deputies are accused of illegally strip searching a mother and daughter during a traffic stop and then illegally searching their relatives’ home for drugs afterward.
Those are accusations the deputies deny. Testimony in the case will resume on Monday and could go to the jury by midweek.
