Drug agents say they arrested two men earlier this week after uncovering 16 potted marijuana plants hidden by the two men in a wooded area.
Agents say with warmer temperatures and a lesser threat of freezing temperatures ahead, marijuana growing will pick up.
Kevin Lee of the Thomas County Drug Squad says, "As we get closer to spring this is the time that they convert them from seeds to small plants and have them in small planters and then as they get to a certain level they will transplant them into the woods or wherever they want to plant them at."
As we move deeper into spring, agents say they'll begin aerial surveillance for plants via helicopter.
