The body of Geraldine Konan was found in a wooded area in Lee, Florida.
Deputies say Konan was shot once in the back and three times in the face with a 22 caliber gun.
Deputies arrested Harold Hand, and a grand jury has just indicted him on first degree murder charges. Authorities say hand is no stranger to law enforcement officers.
Sheriff Pete Bucher says, "He's from Hamilton County and we were looking for Mr. Hand in regards to burglaries and thefts that we were investigating prior to the discovery of Ms. Konan's body."
Hand is currently in the Madison County Jail. So far investigators have no motive for Konan's brutal murder.
