Karen Myers says she was fixing a cup of coffee as she was getting ready for work when she heard something splashing around in her backyard on Tennyson Drive in the North Shire neighborhood.
She went outside to see what it was and saw a three foot alligator swimming in her pool.
Myers says she did not expect to see an alligator.
Tallahassee resident Karen Myers says, "I thought how cool is this I have a gator, so I called a neighbor and he had to look at it too."
A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation officer captured the alligator, it took about 30 minutes to get it out of her pool.
The gator will be released back into the wild later today.
