A group from a Tallahassee Christian radio station has just returned from a two week mission trip to Kenya, their goal to deliver new radio equipment and 2,500 handheld solar powered radios.
Last year the group went and helped set up a radio tower on top of a mountain in Kenya. Now that station can broadcast to nearly eight million people.
Scott Beigle, president of Faith Radio, says, "Folks were so excited because they have no electricity, no batteries, can't buy batteries. Don't have radios, very few of them, and when they got these I've never seen people so excited."
The group also went to a refugee camp in Tanzania, delivering supplies to those less fortunate.
