A wave of vigils opposing U.S. invasion of Iraq took place in more than 90 cities across the country.
In Tallahassee, hundreds of protesters gathered at Lake Ella for a candle light vigil, on the eve of an anticipated U.N. Security Council vote.
Some walked quietly, while others could be heard chanting, "give peace a chance."
Demonstrators hope their candles will rekindle the light of reason so war will be averted and peace will prevail.
The candlelight vigil was organized by the Coalition of Citizens of Tallahassee and surrounding areas.
