Authorities are trying to solve a rash of home burglaries on Tallahassee’s east side.
Thursday morning alone, the thief or thieves burglarized four homes in the Buck Lake Road and Chaires community. Several other families had their homes broken into last week.
Deputies are asking neighbors to be on the lookout.
"The burglaries, so far, all appear to be an in and out burglary where they make a forceful entry, go in quickly, ransack the house, get the items of value that they can and then leave as soon as possible and it leads us to believe this is some type of organized case where they're going after many houses at one time," said SGT Chris Chase with the Leon County Sheriff's Office.
If you have information or you'd like officers to inspect your home to make sure it is properly secured, call the Sheriff's Office at (850) 922-3400.
