A former Madison County employee is suing the property appraiser claiming she fired him when he refused to have sex with her again.
Derrick Vickers worked as an assistant field appraiser in the property appraiser's office.
His seven-page lawsuit claims that just months after he went to work for Debra Bassett, she began making sexual advances towards him, and they eventually began having a sexual relationship.
Vickers contends when he ended that relationship in 2001 he was fired.
This Thursday Basset's attorneys will file a motion to dismiss the case. Neither Derrick Vickers nor his attorney would comment on camera Monday.
