The state of Florida is gearing up for war with Iraq, as officials review state security.
Top officials say Florida’s defenses at seaports and public buildings are strong.
They say security has not been heightened in recent days, despite growing steps toward war.
Tighter security, including extra guards, locked exits and other steps will take effect after a war begins to protect the state against potential terrorism. House and Senate leaders say going to war will not interfere with the work of the state legislature, but it could affect the mood and whether some measures get passed.
