A familiar face around the Florida State University campus is leaving for sunnier skies.

Assistant Police Chief MAJ Thomas Longo is leaving after almost three years with the department. He has excepted a position as police chief with the University of South Florida in Tampa.

He says one of his most memorable moments was the recovery of the stolen Waterford crystals.

"The recovery of the crystal trophies was definitely a memorable moment, but also our first year winning the law enforcement challenge, the graduating of the first Citizens Police Academy here were very, very memorable," says Longo, who will be leaving Florida state sometime in mid-May.
