Tallahassee Carjacking

Tallahassee police are looking for three carjackers they say are behind an attack on a 20-year-old Tallahassee man.

It happened as he dropped off a friend near a Tallahassee Burger King early Monday morning.

The victim, Michael Travis, says a man wearing a ski mask rushed from the bushes on Tennessee Street, pulled him out of the car and then pistol whipped him.

Two other masked men eventually joined in on the attack.

LT Ken Bergstrom with the Tallahassee Police Department says, "At one point he was put back in his own car and they drove around for several hours until he could make an escape, and once he made an escape he was able to knock on a door and called our department."

The man's 2003 silver PT Cruiser is still missing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tallahassee Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 891-HELP.
