Wednesday night’s Lotto drawing is worth $82 million, the second largest jackpot in the entire country right now.
A lottery spokesperson says when the jackpots get this big, sales pick up substantially and you may have to wait in line for your chance at the big bucks.
Leslie Steele, a Florida Lottery spokesperson, says, “But the best thing about these big jackpots is they give more to education and this jackpot so far has allowed us an opportunity to transfer $54 million to education.”
Lottery officials have added 23 terminals at stores along the Georgia and Alabama lines to take advantage of the demand from other states.
The next drawing takes place at 11 p.m. on Wednesday. The $82 million jackpot is the seventh largest in the history of the Florida Lottery.
