Cards to Troops

Some of Georgia's youngest students are saying thanks to American troops with some special homemade cards.

Kindergarten and 1st graders at Moulton Branch Elementary School in Lowndes County made dozens of the special cards on Thursday.

Teachers say this exercise was especially helpful considering Valdosta-Lowndes county is home to moody air force base and many students have connections to the military.
Kerri Dean said, "some of them have parents that are gone and I think this I just a good way to let them do something for the troops and make them fell better about everything that's going on."

These students have been making the cards for more than a month and they say they love supporting U.S. troops.
