It was an emotional tree planting ceremony as students and teachers honored Annie Williams, a health aide at George Munroe Elementary who touched the lives of so many.
Students planted a tree in memory of Williams, who died last year, a day after Thanksgiving Day. Williams' son took part in the ceremony that was a fitting tribute to his mother's legacy.
Marquise McKinley says, "Most of the kids she's helped, and I think seeing a tree would help them remember my mom and her spirit."
Teachers say Williams touched so many young lives, and this tree will be a constant reminder of a woman who meant so much to them.
